Groups for Birth Parents
Placing a child for adoption is a decision that resonates throughout a birth parent’s life. Each stage may evoke thoughts and emotions. Groups offer the opportunity to share your thoughts with other birth parents who understand your experiences and feelings.
Purpose: This support group will provide birth parents who have placed a child for adoption the opportunity to connect with other birth parents who are coping with similar challenges. The group will discuss issues which members are facing.
Logistics: The group will meet one time per month for four months. Each session is one and a half hours. Groups are formed based on interest.
